Burnley defender Michael Keane has spoken of his optimism and positivity regarding the club’s future, the Lancashire Telegraph have reported.
2016 was a brilliant year for Burnley, but 2017 could be even bigger if we stay in the Premier League and we have a brilliant new training facility, which we will be hopefully moving into February time.
Keane has been in superb form all season and has insisted that he is happy to be at Turf Moor, claiming that he is expecting big things of the club as the years go on.
The club is moving on and, taking it step by step, getting bigger and bigger, so it’s a good time to be a Burnley fan.
The main aim for The Clarets this season is undoubtedly to stay up and secure their place in the Premier League ahead of the following campaign, but Keane is sure that even bigger things beckon for Sean Dyche’s men.
It’s exciting. The training ground now is nice and compact, it’s nice and cosy and has a great feel about it.
After a couple of England call-ups, Keane will now be hoping to kick on and really push himself firmly into Gareth Southgate’s plans for the national team in the hope of earning himself his first senior cap for England in the near future.
But when you go over there and look at the size of it, you see how far the club has come in the last few years. You feel a sense of pride that you’ve been part of that.
The prospect of a new training complex seems to have given everyone around the club a boost too, so it most certainly looks to be an exciting next few months in store.
It will be brilliant once all the lads are in there. Everyone is looking forward to it and I’m sure it will give everyone a lift.
