Michael Keane has insisted that he is happy at Burnley.
The defender has been the subject of plenty of speculation in the last few months after some excellent defensive displays for The Clarets, but it doesn’t look as though he’ll be going anywhere any time soon.
Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Keane outlined his happiness at Turf Moor and was confident in stating that the talk of a move away from the club is not affecting him in any way.
I’m really happy here at Burnley, but it is flattering to see.
It’s nice to see. It wouldn’t happen if you weren’t playing well. But I don’t let it affect me at all, it doesn’t affect me going into matchday or going into training every day. I just get on with my football.
Keane has been superb next to Ben Mee at the back for Sean Dyche’s side so far this season, helping them to a highly impressive start to life back in the Premier League.
Keeping hold of the young central defender would be a big statement from Burnley, who will certainly be counting on him to keep the goals out in what could prove to be another positive second half to the Premier League campaign.
