Burnley are interested in making a move for Everton midfielder Tom Cleverley.
According to a report from the Daily Mail yesterday, The Clarets have emerged as potential suitors for the former Manchester United man in this month’s transfer window.
The 27-year-old has been pushed down the pecking order at Goodison Park and could be actively seeking a move in the winter window if his first-team chances continue to be highly limited under Ronald Koeman.
The Toffees boss has preferred Idrissa Gueye, Gareth Barry and Tom Davies to him in recent times, whilst James McCarthy is preparing to come back into contention after injury in the coming weeks.
Sean Dyche could be looking to Cleverley in a pursuit to find Premier League experience to help his side solidify their efforts to stay up this season.
It’s likely that any deal for Cleverley would be on loan, which would work well for all parties concerned in the deal.
